Design Criteria

These we decide together, below are just some suggestions, It might be just a question of making explicit what we normally consider part of any good permaculture design

 

  1. Design Criteria
    1. Comply with all Ethics, Directives and Principles
    2. A Mini-Max way of achieving the Objectives
    3. Lots of Fertile Connections, Elegant Solutions 
    4. A design that builds up over current infra-structures 
    5. A self-regulating and self-resourcing system 
    6. Fully Inclusive but also Exclusive enough
    7. KISS rule!  (Keep It Simple Stupid)

A Mini-Max way of achieving the Objectives

 

 

 

Lots of Fertile Connections, Elegant Solutions 

Creating fertile human eco-systems

 

  

 

A design that builds up over current infra-structures 

Including mental infrastructures, like vocabulary, eg.

 

We already have many "Institutes" of PC .. this is to connect them up (+ the non-Instutes that really are..)

 

the Diploma Network is a great design, but lacks this infrastructure to connect it up and share the work

 

Don't re-hash what is already there!  Eg. forums, email groups, project sites...

 

 

 

A self-regulating and self-resourcing system 

It has to be really sustainable, short and long-term

 

Solutions that take small and local resources to implement & maintain

 

 

 

 

Fully Inclusive but also Exclusive enough

Include all permaculture designers that want to share their work

 

Exclude academics, charlatans, those who talk and don´t do

 

 

 

KISS rule!  (Keep It Simple Stupid)

 

Don´t try to make some 'fulfill all needs and wants' mega-platform: just simplest possible way to fulfill the Objectives

 

Make connections, don´t reproduce other's work
